Engagements

Stages we follow on every consultation

Documentation and code standards work fails when findings arrive as a dump. These stages keep decisions with your maintainers and keep the written output usable after we leave.

  1. Scope freeze

We name repositories, document sets, interview participants, and the decision the engagement must support. Nothing enters the report that sits outside this freeze without a written change.

  2. Evidence gathering

Repository review, style guide inventory, and contributor path walkthroughs. For audits we also sample release notes against live reference pages.

  3. Working draft

Findings or handbook chapters arrive as a shared draft. Your leads mark disagreements in place rather than waiting for a final PDF.

  4. Workshop and ranking

We rank remediation by severity and effort with the people who will do the work. Priority belongs to them; we facilitate the tradeoffs.

  5. Handoff

Final report or published handbook, a short steward briefing, and a checklist for the first maintenance cycle after the engagement closes.
